Meet Kit

Meet our new dog Kit. She is a 7 week old Black Tri Australian Shepherd. I think she is going to be a great farm dog and a nice family pet. She is laid back and very easy going, but she also likes to play "herd" the family.
Is'nt she so cute!

Honey Bees on the Farm

Our friend Peter has brought two of his hives out to the farm! We are hoping they will like their new home and reward us with honey. We have quite a lot of flora and fauna on the farm that they will really like, plus they will help us pollinate our garden. Any excess honey they produce, we will buy off Peter to sell in our farm stand (hopefully). We are also going to be buying one more full hive this weekend to add to the honey harvest. We are very interested in having our own bees on the farm, so hopefully this will be a great learning experience and be beneficial to us and to Peter's bee business.

Farm Pics From The Weekend

This first picture is of our shed that we are turning into an on-site farm stand. We got the outside painted this past weekend, but we still need to work on the inside. It needs two windows installed, plus paint, shelving and some decorative touches and it will be ready to go!

These pictures are of our raised garden beds. They are growing nicely and should be ready to harvest from soon! The top bed has radishes, baby spinach, and mesclun mix in it. The second bed has baby carrots, turnips, another type of salad mix and onions. I can't wait for the first taste of garden produce!!!

Customize your order...

For anyone interested, if you join our CSA before May 31, we will let you customize your CSA box. For example, if you happen to not like beets and turnips and would like more peas and lettuce instead, we would be willing to accommodate you. Also, we are thinking of setting up a payment plan where our customers can pay in 2 installments if they need to. If anyone is interested in this, please let us know. You can click on Become a Member of Our CSA for our contact info.
